Every cookie this catalog sets, and how to switch it off

Open any box below for the detail on that one topic, or use "Open everything" to read the whole page at once and print it if you want a paper copy.

Effective September 14, 2026 Privacy policy Terms of service

Nine sections. Deep-link to any one of them and it opens on its own.

This notice took effect on September 14, 2026.

Anything below describes the cookies and browser storage this site uses as of that date. If we change what we set, we move this date forward and the change shows here — not on a separate changelog you'd have to go hunting for.

We use three categories of storage: necessary, analytics and advertising.

Strictly necessary storage keeps the site working — it remembers your cookie choice and, if you use the parts support chat, the token that lets a conversation continue. It does not require your permission because the site cannot function without it.

Analytics storage tells us which pages get read and which don't, in aggregate, so we know whether the filter section or the fittings section needs more explaining. Advertising storage is what lets Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads connect an ad click to an enquiry. Both of the last two stay off until you choose otherwise.

Here is the actual list of cookies and storage keys, by name.

Three ad platforms run traffic here, each tagging its own clicks.

Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send paid clicks to this catalog. Google Ads attaches gclid to the destination link, Microsoft Advertising attaches msclkid, and Meta Ads attaches fbclid where a Meta campaign is active. Those identifiers travel in the URL itself before any cookie is set, which is why the section above lists both the parameter and the storage that follows it.

Consent Mode v2 keeps four ad signals denied until you say otherwise.

We run Google's Consent Mode v2 (consent mode) on every page. Four signals default to denied for every new visitor: ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage. None of them switch to granted until you press Allow on the banner.

ad_storage
Whether an advertising cookie or identifier can be stored at all.
ad_user_data
Whether click and interaction data can be sent to the ad platforms for measurement.
ad_personalization
Whether that data can be used to build or refine an ad audience.
analytics_storage
Whether the analytics cookie in the table above is allowed to write anything.

Declining, or withdrawing a previous Allow, sets all four signals straight back to denied. That change takes effect on this page immediately, not on your next visit.

You choose consent on the banner, and can change it from the footer at any time.

The first time you load any page, a banner asks whether to allow ad and analytics storage. Pressing Allow sets the four Consent Mode signals to granted and writes site_consent_v2 in your browser. Pressing Decline leaves them denied and writes the same key with a refusal recorded, so we don't ask again for 6 months.

To change your mind afterward, open "Cookie choices" in the footer of any page — it reopens the same banner with your current choice already shown, so you can flip it either direction without hunting through browser settings.

Your current choice lives only in this browser, under the key site_consent_v2. Clearing your browser storage clears that choice too, and the banner will ask again.

Decline everything and the catalog still works, just without ad measurement.

The site, the catalog pages, the inquiry form and the parts support chat all work exactly the same whether you allow or decline. Declining stops the advertising and analytics storage in the table above from being written at all — no gclid-linked cookie, no analytics cookie, nothing personalised. It does not stop the strictly necessary storage that remembers your choice or keeps a chat conversation connected, because the site cannot do either of those without it.

We also honor the Sec-GPC browser signal automatically — see the privacy policy's Global Privacy Control section for how that works without any extra click from you.

Read the ad platforms' own cookie documents here.

Each advertising platform publishes its own account of what it stores and why, beyond what we control on this site:
